Mission Bay

Mission Bay is so large and diverse, the San Diego Watercolor Society divides it into nearly a dozen separate paintout locations. In addition to milesof scenic landscaped shoreline, there are boat basins and marinas, and an amusement park with a still operating wooden roller coaster.

And we can't forget to mention Shamu, for Mission Bay is the home of Sea World, plus several major hotels.

Mission Bay is also very hospitable to artists, with numerous free parking lots and plenty of restrooms.
