54 Places to Paint Plein Air in San Diego
San Diego is a plein air painter's paradise. Evidence of this is the San Diego Watercolor Society's Wednesday Morning Painters group. Each Wednesday, they gather at a scenic spot to paint, socialize, and critique one another's work. SDWS also hosts a more formal paintout one Saturday each month, with a demonstration and critique. Remarkably, they rarely repeat the same location in a given year.

It is always best to confirm such details as the availability of free parking, restroom facilities, and whether the site is still open to the public. You can get a list of upcoming paintout sites from SDWS by visiting their website.
